
Safari was first developed for macOS in 2007, and has been in constant development since then, adding some innovative features long the way like Safari Reader and the Top Sites functionality, the current iteration at the time of writing is version 7. Whilst at the time is was competitive, and arguably one of the best browsers available, today it is simply not a viable platform for web browsing on Windows, the others offer so much more.
